Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa OFW is a special livelihood training project for qualified displaced OFWs in pursuance of the Provincial Government’s Abig Pangasinan Program which aims to bring healing/recovery to Pangasinenses who are affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic

This is in recognition of the significant contributions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to economic development who are now one of the most affected by the pandemic. Pangasinan, being one of the provinces with a bigger number of displaced OFWs, the Provincial Government thru the PMDC sees the need to provide them appropriate assistance.

The project aims to provide a start-up capital for beneficiaries (Displaced OFWs) to help them engage in livelihood/small business.

The project was implemented in 5 LGUs namely: Agno, Alcala, Balungao, Mangaldan, and Natividad where in 123 displaced OFWs were given financial assistance to help them engage in livelihood or small business.

This project was launched on November 27, 2020 in Agno, Pangasinan wherein twenty-five (25) displaced Overseas Filipino Workers were provided financial assistance to help them engage in small businesses. The project launching was attended by Mayor Gualberto Sison, Municipal councilor Jonathan Doromal, DOLE Western Field Office Representative Mhel Gaspar, OWWA Region I representatives Ms. Karenlyn Tan and Mr. Emmanual Diaz, Pangasinan Migration and Development Council Chairman Board Member Margielou Orange Humilde-Verzosa, Provincial PESO Manager and PMDC Vice-Chairman Mr. Alex F. Ferrer, and Municipal PESO Manager Ms. Freda Velasquez.
